How the Typical IUSD Family Should Address Issues
Most issues that come up for families can be addressed by taking a respectful, step-by-step approach and starting with the appropriate people involved – often with the teacher first. We highly recommend actually speaking with everyone directly first before posting or venting on social media.
NOTE: For internal PTA Issues, the chain of respect usually starts with the unit president, then may flow thru principal, IUCPTA mentors, council exec board member, council president, district exec board member, district president, state exec board member, and ultimately state president in this order. As you move up the chain, you should copy those that are part of that chain of authority.
